With E3 going on and all, I got thinking about gaming. I love this article I found on Cracked. It was written 4 years ago, and the author made a lot of predictions about the future of gaming. Most of the predictions were, in time, proven wrong; but I still love his assessment of the gaming industry and it's history. His guesses about the future were a little off, but the I agree about all the problems he outlined. And I feel like many of them still remain (basically many modern games are less fun and creative). He was just wrong that the industry would lose a lot of money.
Which is a wholly separate problem if you ask me. You could compare the situation in gaming right now to the situation in Hollywood. Does anyone think Hollywood is at the top of it's game? No way, jose. But it's making more money than ever right now. But really, I don't even wanna get into that right now. And besides, I have work in the morning.
